Fabrics are essential for designers to design and produce their own clothing. But I, as well as you, have probably noticed that there are different pieces of clothing that are meant to fulfill a certain purpose. For example, why would I wear a windbreaker if it's windy, or chilly outside instead of a normal jacket, or sweater? Well, each fabric is made up of different material, whether it's from man-made, or natural fibers.

Natural Fibers include Cotton, Linen, Silk, Wool, Cashmere, and Leather. Many pieces of clothing's price will vary depending on the different fabric used. So, clothes that are made up of Cashmere will likely cost more than clothes made up of cotton or wool.

These different fabrics come from different sources. For example, Cashmere comes from the fiber that makes up the undercoat of the Kashmir goat.

Although natural silks are extremely popular, man-made fabrics have become increasingly popular and often preferred because some last longer, and are cheaper than natural fibers, however, man-made fabrics can be manufactured, but also consists of natural fabrics that are chemically altered to imitate the properties of natural fabrics, or to improve on them economically, and/or ecologically.

But, manufactured fabrics are becoming increasing popular because of their durability against extreme conditions. For example, Spandex is said to be extremely resistant to perspiration. Also, Acrylic Fabric, the pride of the fabric industry, is tear resistant and lasts for long periods of time, which is why this fabric is used in seats, sofas, chairs, and clothing.

Acrylic Fabric

In fact, many designer clothing stores, including Riwayat, recommend the use of acrylic fabric because of its advantages.
